Well, I attended a gathering today in what has become a traditional yearly ritual of reconnecting with absent friends and opening doors to new friendships. I have some Puertorican friends that host an annual pig roast at their house in honor of "El Dia de Los Reyes." It's a tradition in Puerto Rico to commemorate the arrival of the wise men from the east that came to worship the Christ child. A pig is roasted, Puertorican style!, and friends gather with wonderful dishes from all over central and South America and the Caribbean islands. This year we enjoyed a live guitarist and vocalist along with a conga player to belt out some nice rhythms.
